Watch this space...!
Life in north east England (yes, we've moved!) with an eccentric Welshman and a small white dog that thinks he's a Rottweiler.
It's all in the mind
I have decided, tomorrow, I shall get my frontal cortex and nucleus accumbens into gear and shall cease to have any pain in my sciatic nerve. It's all mind over matter. I shall be able to take the dogs out, see my clients without having to explain why I have a hot water bottle under my leg and all will be back to normal.

I gather your sciatic nerve is pinched Jenny and I hear from others how painful this can be. My daughter (a physio ) had me doing special stretches when I had a slight bout of this and they did the trick for me. I guess you've been doing all this stuff without relief ? Poor you. Constant pain gets you down doesn't it?
cheers
Hanging from a trapeze or branch can help, but, as odd as it sounds, I believe that exercise is the best medicine. Is there a pool nearby?
I sympathise as a couple of friends have sciatica at present. Take care, and get well soon. Flighty xx
No, I've not been given any exercises, Helsie, just pain relief. Pain certainly is very wearing though!
I have tried to keep walking the dogs, Cro but was afraid I was making it worse. Doc said swimming is good but advised me not to go just yet. I would hang from the door frame but can't quite reach!
Thanks, Flighty. I will certainly do my best! ;)
I could be wrong but I think I detected just a smidgeon of cynicism in your link to the newspaper article about back pain. All in the mind? Bollocks!
Aha!!
