So that's where Keith has been today - a long trip to London and back, and now, completely exhausted, he is tucked up in bed, snoring away to his heart's content.
A good day's work.
Life in north east England (yes, we've moved!) with an eccentric Welshman and a small white dog that thinks he's a Rottweiler.
So, we're still no further forward on the British Gas smart meter front and I've given up making non-existent appointments with them...

It's the same with the bookshop where I work part-time sadly. The lease runs out at the end of September and the rent going up like-wise.
Thankfully I'm not dependent on that job so looking forward to doing a lot more allotmenteering! xx
The end of an era indeed, quite sad but his future plans sound good and the wisest option in our current economic climate! :o)
p.s I like your Edith quote! my fave quote has always been "The puruit of happiness is the greatest cause of unhappiness"...kinda similar in meaning :o)
What a shame, Flighty. I've often thought I would like to work in a bookshop.
Too true, Gemmak. Let's hope this decision is the right one.
