My other car...

I'm so impressed with the local heddlu (police). They have inspected the damage on my car twice, visited me at home to take a statement, asked me to show them where I had left the car, knocked on the doors of the houses in the area and finally discovered who had reversed into it with the result that the said person has been in contact, apologised and agreed to pay for the damage. How's that for service?
Meanwhile I am having to make do with a 2.5 litre Ford Probe sports job to get to school while my faithful Peugeot 106 is off the road. Still, at least it's wheels...

Clearly they are paying you teachers too much if you have got two cars!

Jenny, do you think you might post a photo of your car one day? Perhaps you've done it already and I've missed it. I'd love to see what a British school teacher drives these days. Also, what's become of Keith's Camero project? Waning interest?

Ooh, you must have dark powers to receive that sort of service from the police and get a 2.5litre sports jobbie ...

Woman in the prime of her life...Sports Car....headscarf....shades....now you keep well away from the Grand Canyon, Jenny as I know how this ends !!!!! ;)

I haven't got 2 cars, YP. The Probe belongs to Keith's daughter and she is trying to sell it.

I will do that as soon as I get the chance, Dale. The Camero is soon to be sold. Keith can't work on it because if his leg problems and Giles now has a baby daughter to occupy him.

Dark powers indeed, M&M. ;)
Craig, you'd better stand well clear in the carpark on Sunday! But I like the 'woman in her prime' bit.

Blimey ! You ought to post on Iain Dale's blog. When he had his car broken into, they refused to come out and even inspect the damage. Policy of the Metropolitan Police. But then they do have a few other things to be worrying in that part of the country.

True, anon. and if I knew where Iain Dale's blog was, I might do as you suggest. ;)

Plaster board and dust

So, we're still no further forward on the British Gas smart meter front and I've given up making non-existent appointments with them...
