I think Keith is getting a bit concerned about my daily problem with tractors cluttering the local dual carriageway during my trip to work. His mind has been on the task and he has come up with a novel solution:
An air to ground heat-seeking missile tuned in to tractors' exhausts!
Sounds good to me. I had been considering the ancient Romans' idea - knives attached to my chariot (sorry - car) wheels carefully positioned to catch them as I overtake, but the heat-seeking missile - oh yes, I like the sound of that.
Life in north east England (yes, we've moved!) with an eccentric Welshman and a small white dog that thinks he's a Rottweiler.

Now these rough tough farming men in the Wales/England borderlands are doing proper work! Not standing in front of a bunch of kids and telling them the story of "Hansel and Gretel"! So young lady, know your place! Bubbling aggression does not suit you and set off earlier so there's plenty of time to get to and from work no matter what is on the roads!
Earlier??? Hells bells, man, I leave the house at just after 7am as it is - otherwise it takes me 15 minutes to get across one roundabout! It's not all sheep in Wales, you know - there is traffic as well! (Anyway, what's wrong with Hansel and Gretel?)
Grrrrr! Aggressive??? WHO's agressive???
The Hansel and Gretel story always scared me, Jenny. Gave me nightmares for years ! And I, too, am getting worried about your aggressive side - ever considered counselling......???? ;)
What's wrong with Hansel and Gretel? Well the main thing is they were German! Or was that Welsh? I can't remember. Same difference.
You set off at 7am? How lazy is that? I am at school by three in the morning, catching up with marking and lesson preparation and other important stuff that secondary school teachers have to do!
Well you're lucky to have a school. I have ti build mine when I get there!
Craig -I'm off to lie on the couch as we speak and unburden myself of all this terrible aggression, brought on by welsh tractors. They've got a lot to answer for!
Visions of Ben Hur charging around the valleys of Wales...or maybe Queen Boudica would be more appropriate! Charge!
Boudicca definitely, Sue. Hair and robes streaming in the wind...yes, I like that!
