On Wednesday we had a visit from Zoolabs, which is an organistation that visits schools with large-sized exotic minibeasts. So we had a visit from a large stick insect, an African land snail, a hissing cockroach, a large millipede, a corn snake among other creatures. Oh and there was a Chilean Rose Tarantula, but I was almost out of the room for that one and was grateful for the fact that it stayed locked away in its tank.
I was quite happy to hold the millipede and the corn snake, though.

Jenny, I would have legged it if I'd seen the spider too ! Goodness knows how you held the millipede - after all, it has loads of legs and...yuk I can't even go on !!!! See, I'm a baby really (hence the name !)
BTW - did they have a miniature YP as a minibeast ? I've just read his earlier comment on the Welsh, the nasty man !

Craig, the millipede was quite sweet. Its legs felt like little suckers on my hand. I have already rebuked YP for his anti-Welsh comments! I'm sure he is suitably chastened.

Aren't you the brave one? I wouldn't have liked holding the millipede or the snake. Dad says if you hold a snake, the safest way to hold it is to squeeze it gently just below the neck. (Dad's quite the joker.)
