The cloak of anonymity

There's been a lot of anonymous activity on my blog and on some of those I visit lately. It's rather like an infection. It begins on one blog and spread to others, persumably through the links list. I decided the last time I was visited that, from now on, I would treat the perpetrator with the contempt he so obviously deserves and ignore any further comments. However, having noticed his inimitable (lack of) style on at least one other blog, I would just like to send him the following message.
Your activity, whilst scarcely entertaining at the onset, is now unutterably boring.
I know your IP address.
I know which pages of my blog you have visited (a considerable number) and when.
I know which blog you were visiting when you discovered mine.

Let's hope that Santa brings you something nice to take your mind off insulting people in the blogosphere!

Hi Jenny.
Sorry to hear and see that you’ve had comments on your blog from Anonymous. - [They don’t even have the testicles to give their identity]. I feel that they are in need of some psychiatric help also they suffer with some sort of physiognomy deficiency.

There’s only one way to treat this kind of comment, total ignore it, let the other visitors judge for themselves what kind of low life, brainless scum bags they are.

Pity you didn’t publish their ISP-number.

Don’t ‘Rise to their bait’ and give them the satisfaction that they have effected you, that’s just what they want, they are some sort of manic-depressive person. I pity them.

Towards the end of last month I got one very nasty "anonymous" comment. I deleted it and moved on - haven't heard anything else since.

Hesitated even in posting this...it will probably open the flood gates. Oh well.

Lumps of coal would go nicely in Mr. Mr. Anonymous's stocking I should think.

I wasn't at all upset by the comments. People who operate this way are more to be pitied, I think. Lumps of coal would be just the thing, Alice!

If you don't want people to laugh and be condescending to your fucking dull life why start a fucking blog ??

If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen - nobody forced you to inflict your sad little life on the world at large via the internet.

And in case you hadn't noticed the whole point of 'blogging' is around freedom of expression - it isn't illegal to post on other people's blogs and if you don't want to read people's anonymous postings, why the fuck do you allow them ?

For Fuck's sake anonymous!

How sad is your life, that all you have to do with your time is to sit and slag everyone else's lives off?

You show a distinct lack of originality in your postings...I am also curious as to why, if you find Jenny's life so dull, you should still find the urge to read about it?

As before, if you have nothing constructive to say, then don't bother commenting!

I've just today closed my blog to anonymous commenters. If they can't be nice, or take the time to understand what I've written, then they don't deserve a forum.

So there.

Plaster board and dust

So, we're still no further forward on the British Gas smart meter front and I've given up making non-existent appointments with them...
