To Australians a "digger" was originally a soldier. Now the word is used as term of endearment between workmates. Hence when you mentioned you'd taken Paul to Diggerland I mistakenly thought you'd be surrounded by crowds of whingeing Aussies. Of course Keith would not have been in the least bit interested in the machinery, preferring perhaps to make you a daisy chain.

Well, actually YP, Keith has not as enthusiastic as I had expected as he has driven a digger before in a past life when he was building his own house. (See, I always go for the interesting ones!)
