The ipad mini might be, though, it is lighter and therefore, much more wieldy.

ZACLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07289333819869440699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7169036.post-15610134624213734502013-10-04T13:58:22.049+01:002013-10-04T13:58:22.049+01:00A very large cheque, I hope, YP, and NOT a rubber ...A very large cheque, I hope, YP, and NOT a rubber one either!Jennytchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13621488409334115930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7169036.post-2695678646693264062013-10-04T13:57:40.577+01:002013-10-04T13:57:40.577+01:00Thanks for that, ZACL. I've had awful trouble commenting...Hi Jennyta,

I've had awful trouble commenting on this post. The Captcha didn''t read my electronic touch keyboard on the ipad. I gave up in the end. I sent a message to the Captcha site, I'm not holding my breath.

Like you, I have a Kindle with a keyboard. I rarely use its email facilities, they're a bit turgid. I read the kindle at home and on short journeys. I find that having the Kindle App on the ipad, I now only require one device on, say, holidays, for example. I was quite taken with finding that the book I had been reading on the Kindle, opened at the right point on the ipad. I have yet to find out if the courtesy works in reverse! It had not when I picked up on a large read on the Kindle, but, then, I had not got the wifi switched on. It might make the difference.

The new kid on the block is Tescos Hudl. It's cute, seems easy to handle and does the basics and a bit more besides. I think it's Android.

Kobo come in two sizes. I have seen three models and one is about half of an A5 size. The other two models have differences, but I cannot tell you what they are; my guess is that one is a newer technology. They seem quite nice for reading. I am sure dad will enjoy the one you have for him, once he gets to see and handle it! :)ZACLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07289333819869440699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7169036.post-76714278152599959852013-09-29T15:20:36.201+01:002013-09-29T15:20:36.201+01:00The Kobo Glo does look very nice, Flighty. The Kobo Glo does look very nice, Flighty.Jennytchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13621488409334115930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7169036.post-13171943788911919132013-09-29T14:57:18.423+01:002013-09-29T14:57:18.423+01:00Thanks very much for this post, and the mention.
