"Ah yes," she said, "I believe you were given the wrong fasting information."
"Ah no," I said, "I was moved from the afternoon list to the morning one but no-one told me."
She remained discreetly noncommittal.
However, the staff were brilliant, I got through it and hopefully, no further action will be needed.
Result!

I'm so glad you are out and on the road to healing. Also that you had the opportunity to put the anaesthetist right. Enjoy your time with your feet up!
Thought of you today....remembering your 'appointment'. So surprised you are Home! Take it easy my Friend
Sincere good wishes
Aileen
Does anyone, anywhere, ever admit that they were wrong? Good to hear you're through your trials. The occasional wince should ensure good service; it works for me!
It's good to see that you're okay, and will be pandered to by Keith! Recently I've twice had problems with the NHS which was their fault and received no apologies despite taking the matter up both times. Flighty xx
Thanks everyone. I think Cro is right. Saying sorry seems to be an admission of liability these days.
Glad to hear it's all over and hope you feel OK. Make the most of being waited on, it won't last I dare say!
Haha! I have my methods, Helsie. ;')
I am relieved for you Jenny and hope that this nagging issue has finally been put to bed. Nice one.... Did Keith have to wear a French maid's outfit?
No, but it's an idea for next time. ;)
Sounds like a good result in every direction. Recovery in your own environment can be the best thing, especially if you have someone to 'maid' for you - are you able borrow any of hubby's electronic toys to amuse you at your leisure?
I have my own laptop and iPad, ZACL - all I need, plus a good book, of course. ;)
