A fine weekend

It was, for once in this benighted summer, a fine week last week, so Keith and I were finally able to set off in the caravan for a long weekend in Barmouth, chosen for its long, flat cycle ride into the town from the campsite and the large expanse of beach available for dog-running-around.
Paddy has been before but it was Jake's first time, and probably his first time on a beach of any kind, as you can tell here by his obvious lack of comprehension as to what one does on a beach. In the end, he decided to be guided by Paddy and just have fun.
As you can see, they are both so fit that it only took them about two hours to recover from the exertion!
Jake is definitely built for comfort, not for speed.
Is it too much to ask that they untangle themselves by retracing their steps?
Yep!

Ahhhh Barmouth. Spent a lot of time there in my yute. (no substitute for a caravan !).

These days I've not got the energy to walk out to the water !

Glad you all had fun.

The wee doggies set you a fine example. So, when do we get pix of you two finding your feet on the beach?

:)

I hope you and Keith enjoyed yourselves as much as the dogs obviously did. Flighty xx

Thanks, Ian, we did.

Ah, that'll be when one of the dogs learns how to use a camera, ZACL. ;)

Oh we did, thanks, Flighty. :)

Strange how dogs manage to tangle themselves up perfectly well, but are totally incapable of untangling themselves. Before Bok was given to us, I found him, early one morning, almost lynched by a chain. He'd broken away from his previous people, come to us, and got himself dangerously wrapped around a pillar. Silly boy didn't even think of barking to alert us! He survived.

And there's Keith still hoping to train Paddy to go up to the shop for fish and chips for him... ;) No chance!

Glad you had a good time - love the picture of the dogs zonked out. Our old dog Jen hated the sea and barked at it - a bit like King Canute.

"Is it too much to ask that they untangle themselves by retracing their steps?" - You know what they say Jenny - dogs take after their owners!

Jake hasn't ventured in yet but Paddy enjoys it.

Hmmm, and I thought you were nice, YP...!

Trying to find the post "Now That is Clever"...I watched the video and then computer things screwed up. Maybe it was crashing out like the boys did. The bit that worked was good, and the rest.....totally unexpected.

Plaster board and dust

So, we're still no further forward on the British Gas smart meter front and I've given up making non-existent appointments with them...
