Stonehenge and Wales

This article on the orgins of some of the stones at Stonehenge reminds me of the sterling research Keith carried out, which he told me about a few years ago.

With out wishing to sound like a cleverclogs, I did know about this.

My brother-in-law (sorta) is pretty certain that the stones came from Wales and he developed a theory as to how they were transported.

He reckons they were wrapped in wicker and rolled, or even floated, to Salisbury Plain. And he's carried out a scaled down experiment to prove it can be done.

I wrote about it around this time last year.
