The little road we walked up was called Colliery Road, so I guess the clue is in the name.

That's what I like about living here, you turn a corner and there you are in somewhere you have never been before.
Life in north east England (yes, we've moved!) with an eccentric Welshman and a small white dog that thinks he's a Rottweiler.
So, we're still no further forward on the British Gas smart meter front and I've given up making non-existent appointments with them...

I have also just been out for a walk after such an overcast week but when I got out on the moors above Ringinglow I discovered a different climate - still grey and windswept while sunshine ruled in the bowl of Central Sheffield.
In Blogland that weather will be nice the whole year round with only occasional bursts of soothing tropical rain to water the palm trees and vegetable gardens.
Can you make sure it only rains at night and never during the day, please?
Your wish is my command.
I'm a sucker for old industrial buildings if I have my camera with me. They need preserving in pixels before some idiot decides we need another superstore instead.
