Brambles! Yes, that's the word! Not bloody blackberries! This has been an amazing summer for brambles. We have picked several pounds of them from the few bushes we have at the bottom of our garden. In medieval times, many rural families deliberately grew brambles around their homes to create natural barriers - far more effective than a burglar alarm.
I can testify to their effectiveness, YP! Blackberries (or brambles) here and at home have not been good this year.
