Colin Caterpillar is still in the fridge.

Younger daughter came to visit yesterday and stayed overnight, which was lovely as it gave us a chance to catch up on news and gave Paddy a chance to show off and demonstrate how badly behaved he can still be on the lead! After she had set off on her homeward journey at lunch time, I noticed a strange packet in the fridge, so I took it out and, lo and behold, it was a packet of marshmallow-type, caterpillar-shaped sweets and the name on the packet told me that these little creatures were commonly known as 'Colin' and contain no artificial colours or flavouring.
(Wot???)
No, I didn't ask. I just sent her a text message to tell her that Colin Caterpillar is still in the fridge.
No reply yet though...

You're sure that they are sweets and not the real thing! Flighty xx

I certainly hope so, Flighty! Mind you, it wouldn't be the first time creepy things were in my kitchen! See looking after pets

Colin Caterpillar sweets are from M&S and they are healthier sweets purchased by more discerning parents. My theory is that your younger daughter deliberately left them there to make you feel guilty about all the unhealthy gobstoppers, flying saucers and liquorice torpedoes you shovelled into her when she was a child.

Really, YP? Healthy eating ruled in my family, thank you!! No gobstoppers or flying saucers or liquorice torpedoes (do such things really exist?)So there! ;)

Ehm...excuse me but I think you will find that "healthy eating" was only invented around 1995. It was the curry flavoured Pot Noodles for breakfast that she hated the most.

Curry flavoured pot noodles? That would be the official breakfast in that there Yorkshire then? ;)Not over 'ere, lad. We 'ad nobbut muesli and wholegrain toast. ;)

Dear Charlotte Church-Jenkins,
Muesli = Rabbit food
Wholegrain = Middle class substitute for a good healthy white-sliced "Mother's Pride" from the local co-op.
Remember - you are what you eat! That makes me a banana!
