Meanwhile, for those of us ladies who would also like a long and vigorous life, I assume that the recipe for us would be 'whisky, cigarettes and wild, wild men.'
So where are they then?
The men, I mean - of course...
The good side of getting older is that you have the confidence to say what you think, whether people like it or not. The downside is that you slide gradually into invisibility - unless you have 'attitude'!

That's a recipe I'd like to try .. minus the cigarettes and whiskey. Tee hee.
I don't drink whiskey or smoke cigarettes and as for wild, wild women I should be so lucky! At this rate I won't even be around to draw my pension! xx
Sounds good to me, Jay! ;)
Flighty, all that fresh air and work on your plot will make a good alternative, I'm sure. ;)
One wild man is reputed to live in Borneo. It is rumoured there is another living in Wrexham. They say he drinks regularly in the Nag's Head on Mount Street.
And there lurks a wild man here in Mimico, although lately, I'm afraid, he's been rather subdued ;)
D.
Found my way here from Cheshire Wife - you have a great blog. I can very much identify with the SKy story - they are obnoxious to deal with. I also loved your story on the mutt and his digging! I love your style of writing.
YP, you certainly get about, don't you!
D, nice to hear from you again. I'm sure you won't be subdued for too long! :)
MOB, thanks for visiting and for your kind comment.
sounds like you and Henry Allingham are an ideal couple then jenny
I take it your abject apology is winging its way to me even as I write, Arthur!!
