Alyn Waters Country Park

I am ashamed to say that, despite having lived in this area for six years, I have never ventured into Alyn Waters Country Park , which is only two miles away - until today, that is, when I decided to take Paddy there for his walk for a change of scenery. No camera with me today, I'm afraid, but I will definitely go back. The sun was peeping out and making a brave effort to shine, Paddy had lots of interesting scents to investigate and we had a very pleasant, relaxing walk.

But I'm not going to take the risk of expressing the hope that the worst of winter is over; no, that would be tempting fate.... but it would be nice to think that Spring is finally just around the corner.

Hi Jenny.
An exciting time is a-coming, Spring is just around the corner, you know it, I know it also mother nature knows it, spring flowers popping their heads up from the ground, some trees blossoming with the leaf shoots, birds building nests, days are getting warmer. longer periods of daylight and above all the young girls are walking around without wrapped up with their winter outfits on, beautiful, hope this is a taste still yet to come for the Summer.

I still venture out with my winterised Berghaus Jacket on, still too cold for me but the warmer weather puts a spring in my walking.

With my new car [coming shortly], new camera, [new computer as well] and a new year [2009], So, for this year I’m ever looking forward too. .......

Good to hear ‘Paddy’’ is keeping you walking that helps to keep you young and fit with possibly a weight lose - !!!!. - Mick.

I think that we often tend to overlook places on our doorstep!
That certainly looks to be a good park for a walk with Paddy.
You're right above tempting fate with the weather so fingers crossed that winter has gone! xx

Well Jenny, great minds think alike. This week I, too, 'discovered' Alyn Waters for the first time in 30 *coughs* something years of living here ! The place will be getting a reputation if word gets out that the two of us famous Wrexham-ites have been seen there (they will be charging admission next !) CraigyBaby !

Hope you're not suggesting I am fat, Mick!!
Fingers crossed, Flighty!
Ian, you would love it here, but no golf carts, mind! You will have to walk. ;)
You never know, Craig, our visits might coincide some time.

Due to Blogger's slowness and my impatience, YP. :)

Plaster board and dust

So, we're still no further forward on the British Gas smart meter front and I've given up making non-existent appointments with them...
