BT Vision

Well, we now have our BT Vision package. This means that we have broadband, a phone and television as a package. BT Vision gives us all the Freeview channels and a lot of other stuff, much of which is 'free' although you can download films and sport at an extra cost if you wish. The best bit about it for me, though, is that we will no longer be able to access all those obscure channels which show wall-to-wall Scrapheap Challenge, Salvage Squad, Garage etc which regular readers will remember me moaning about on previous occasions. Keith is less than happy about that, but it was his idea to swap from Sky to BT Vision and it will cost us about a third of what we are paying now.
Yes, I know it's really mean of me to be rejoicing at his misfortune, but you should hear the way he complains when I watch Emmerdale and Corrie!

But they're both free-to-view aren't they? (Personally, you'd have to pay me to watch 'em - Emmerdale's never been the same since they dropped 'Farm' from the name, and as for Corrie - well, where shall I begin? No Reg, no Vera, no Hilda Ogden - and they're all still alive (in real life, that is!). It's a scandal.

Ooooo! Boasting again? "We've got BT Vision! You haven't! Nah nah nah nah nah!" I guess it's all those years working in primary classrooms!

YP, you misunderstand me. Not boasting at all, simply found a way of spending a little less without losing everything that Sky provides.
Dotterel, you disappoint me - I thought you had real taste! ;)

Sky's pricing is ridiculous! I can't believe what we pay.
We have just bought our daughter a tv for her bedroom, for Christmas and we picked up a free view box for £12 at Argos. There is a music channel or two on there and a few others... she seems very happy with it. Maybe it's time to dump Sky?
BT Vision you say?
Oh and if the daffy confuses it's Feathers as was. :o)

So, we're still no further forward on the British Gas smart meter front and I've given up making non-existent appointments with them...
