Lovely, Jenny! But I don't know much about steam engines, I'm afraid. I would enjoy a trip on British Rail, though. I notice a much different arrangement for coupling carriages that what we use here.
I remember some years ago, I met a couple of British rail fans and invited them onto the locomotive for a tour. They were thrilled and took dozens of photos.
You're a good daughter to visit your ol' dad and take him for a train ride. I'll bet he had a fabulous day!

Yeah but where's the Fat Controller?

Jennytc said...

Sorry you couldn't make it, YP. :)

Is "it" a meat and potato pie? Because I made "it" earlier this evening. I'm not the Fat Controller, I'm the Medium Build Uncontrollable...

Jennytc said...

Ah, but Medium Build Uncontrollable what, YP??? So why weren't we invited to share this wonderful pie? Keith will be so upset.

Progress report and photographs of the extension please.

Notice that the poles are bringing their own engines with them

Sory, should have read Poles

Jennytc said...

Yes, it was a Polish engine, but one which, according to Dad, was running beautifully.

Mick, the extension has ground to a halt for the moment as the rest of it is being built in some distance factory as we speak well, almost) but work should recommence pretty soon.

Plaster board and dust

So, we're still no further forward on the British Gas smart meter front and I've given up making non-existent appointments with them...
