Download a free novel

So there you are, living your life, when one day, something snaps and you make a choice that will turn it upside down. New experiences await, maybe not always happy ones, but that's the chance you take and at least now you are living, not just existing. So there's no going back...

Two years ago I took part in the NaNoWriMo competition and duly rattled off a 50,000 word novel, of sorts. Two years later, after extending, developing and generally chopping and changing it, I am now inviting anyone interested to download it here, curl up on the sofa and enjoy the read.
The link is also on my sidebar.
I would appreciate it if, having read it, you would leave me a comment even if it's only to tell me you have read it. This is my 'practice' one. The next one is already in my head and is beginning to appear on the laptop.
Enjoy!

Hi Jenny.

As much as I would like to read your novel I just can not open the PDF file.

I have open an account with Ripway hoping to open your novel, but can not get access to it. help please.

I tried on three different browsers. Netscape, safari and firefox, still nothing.

I am told:- Adobe Reader could not open ‘Going Backpdf.pdf because it is either not a support file type or because the file has beem damaged

Help please.

Jenny, Jenny, Jenny (or should that be Agatha or Enid ?!) - I managed to read the first few pages and the story certainly sounds familiar....can't wait to read the rest ! Unfortunately, homework and presentation preparation has forced me to abandon it for the time being but extremely impressed with what I've read so far - and I'm a harsh critic ! Very proud of you :) x

Thanks, Craig. It isn't autobiographical but I have borrowed from certain experiences!

I'll read it and let you know.
I'll also do a BookBuffs entry over the weekend mentioning and linking to this entry to give you a wider audience.

Thanks, Flighty, that's really kind of you.

Thank you Jenny, I read and enjoyed your book, very much. A few quibbles (such as, did she not have one single friend/colleague with her email address who would get in touch? and a great deal of detail about some things while others were coasted over puzzlingly) - and if you were wanting to get it published it would need updating (changes in Ofsted, law on using mobile when driving, for instance), but a good read.

So, we're still no further forward on the British Gas smart meter front and I've given up making non-existent appointments with them...
