The Foot

This is the post-operative foot. According to Keith, it now has a 12 mm threaded stainless steel bar through the heel and into the femur with a wingnut on the bottom.

(I think maybe his imagination is running away with him!)

Hi Jenny.

I think your Keith is a very brave man, reading your posting about his various operation and the lack of nursing care fills me with horror. Your photograph of a bandaged foot much better then having a cast on. The drip saga, unbelievable that nurses would have such a callous attitude and to make lame excuses about the nightime painkiller drug, too busy, rubbish. ....

Im picking up the vibes that Keith is getting better and that it wont be too long before you get him home, at least he will then get the TLC he deserves. ....

I hope you are keeping a log of all these events that Keith has gone through and that at a later date write to the Hospital Management asking for some explanation. Failing that, write to your MP. ....

Please give Keith my best wishes. ....

Thanks for your good wishes, Mick. I am indeed keeping a log and there will be a letter winging it's way to the hospital management as soon as he has been fully discharged. I did 6 months nursing training myself back in the 60's and my mum was a nurse, so I am horrified at the standard of care available these days.

I agree with Mick. It's absolutely appalling, the level of care he's gotten. Too busy to administer drugs? What on earth is the point of being in hospital?

Anyway, welcome home, dear Jenny. Welcome back to Blogger!

So, we're still no further forward on the British Gas smart meter front and I've given up making non-existent appointments with them...
